Influência de Bebidas Energéticas na Rugosidade Superficial do Esmalte e da Dentina Após a Escovação.

- Abstract
O objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar, in vitro, a influência de bebidas energéticas na rugosidade superficial do esmalte e da dentina após exposição as bebidas e após escovação. Sessenta incisivos bovinos foram seccionados (13 mm comprimento x 7 mm largura). As superfícies vestibulares foram desgastadas com lixas de carbeto de silício para exposição de dentina e planificação de esmalte. As amostras (n=10) foram distribuídas em 6 grupos experimentais segundo o substrato dental (esmalte e dentina) e a solução utilizada ((água destilada - grupo controle); Red Bull (pH = 4), TNT (pH = 2)). A rugosidade inicial(R0) foi mensurada com o auxílio do rugosimetro. Em seguida, os corpos de prova foram imersos na solução por 10 minutos, lavados em cuba ultrassônica por 3 min e imediatamente avaliados novamente (R1). Por fim, os espécimes foram submetidos a 20.000 ciclos em máquina de escovação, e a rugosidade superficial final mensurada (R2). As médias dos dados obtidos (R0, R1 e R2) para cada substrato foram tabulados e analisados pela ANOVA dois fatores para medidas repetidas (tratamento e tempo) no teste de Tukey, com nível de significância de 5%. Os dados mostraram que houve diferença estatística significante após a imersão(R1) das bebidas utilizadas e após escovação(R2), assim como nos substratos de esmalte e dentina. Concluiu-se que as bebidas energéticas testadas (TNT e RED BULL) apresentaram potencial biocorrosivo distintos na estrutura dental. A associação de bebidas energéticas e escovação aumenta a rugosidade superficial tanto do esmalte quanto da dentina.
