- Abstract
Introduction: there are many risk factors that are related to periodontal recession, which currently constitutes a health problem. Objective: to determine the presence of local risk factors in periodontal recession of anterior teeth in children aged 10-14 years at the "Ismael Clark y Mascaró" dental clinic in Camagüey from September 2019 - December 2022. Methodology: qualitative-quantitative study, as well as explanatory and correlational. The universe was 80 patients and the sample consisted of 30 patients with a pure purposive non/probabilistic sampling who met the inclusion criteria. A form was prepared that relates the study variables. The information was processed in the SPSS 21,0 package. Results: the female sex predominated, with a slight degree of apical migration, mainly in the lower anterior sector. The most affected teeth were 31 and 41. The predominant degree of apical migration was 1-3 mm in the lower anterior sector. All variables were significant. The phrenic and muscular insertions represented the best predictor. Conclusions: the behavior of local risk factors in periodontal recession at the "Ismael Clark y Mascaró" dental clinic was determined. All the variables were significant. The phrenic and muscular insertions represented the best predictor.
