- Abstract
Freeze-thaw cycles in cold regions of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are frequent and severe, which had a strong impact on the performance of the asphalt pavement There is no uniform standard for the freeze-thaw effects quantification of the real environment. To overcome this problem, the total freeze-thaw can be divided into weak and strong freeze-thaw while considering the effect of freeze and thaw depth of the real environment on freeze-thaw strength criterion. Strong freeze-thaw can be further divided into types from II to IV. By analyzing the real environment freeze-thaw effect in Wudaoliang area, the freeze-thaw statistical parameters of 6 regions, freeze-thaw time, and peak and lasting time of freeze-thaw along the Qinghai-Tibet highway under different freeze-thaw strength were obtained. Contrastive analysis of the 6 regions in the 4 temperature ranges of freeze-thaw trend were also performed.
