- Abstract
This article discusses the proposed research project Hurricane-Flood-Landslide Continuum by a group of U.S. government agencies and academic institutions. The purpose of the project is to develop and integrate the multidisciplinary tools needed to issue regional guidance products for floods and landslides associated with major tropical rain systems. The group envisions the development and implementation of a warning system for a prototype region in the Caribbean, specifically in the islands of Puerto Rico and Hispaniola.
