- Abstract
This article uses factor analysis to interpret the data resulting from a questionnaire created to find out the perception and opinion of creativity held by university students of the Degree in Primary Education. It explores the creative training they have, as well as the training received in formative stages prior to university, from the perspective of gender, academic year and Baccalaureate of origin. The sample consisted of 712 students belonging to five different academic years and surveyed at the beginning of the first artistic subject taken. The methodology was based on the collection of data by means of a Likert questionnaire and its subsequent processing by means of Principal Component Analysis, offering significant results between gender and the personal perception of creativity, as well as significant differences in terms of the Baccalaureate of origin and the creative training received in their previous education. The data obtained show the need to deepen and insist on creative training in stages prior to university, stressing the need for students to be aware of the processes to promote their creativity in which they are immersed.
