The article discuses the clinical legal criteria be considered in deceased organ donation (DOD). Topics include the neurological tests and verifications to determine brain death, the possible confounders before establishing brain death like coma and permanent vegetative state that should be excluded in brain death and the exclusion of coma patients in the list of DOD.
