- Abstract
The article describes the study of cosmic radiation using the AMS spectrometer, a particle detector installed on the International Space Station in 2011. The spectrometer has collected information on 1.9 × 1011 cosmic ray events since its operation began. Results have been obtained on the dependence of the flux of different nuclei as a function of rigidity, which provides important information about the production and propagation of cosmic rays in the galaxy. Phenomena that were not described by existing models have also been observed, indicating the need to continue data collection to improve results in different areas of research.
