- Abstract
The article reports on the significance of dancing on the cardiovascular condition of older people. The Young at Heart project teamed with the Dance 4 national dance agency to let older people engage in physical and social activity. It used dance as a creative therapeutic tool that stretched both the imagination and body so people of all ages can benefit. It promotes confidence, self-esteem and empathy, which can be developed to encourage healthy and vibrant communities.
