- Abstract
The article assesses innovations in community children's services in Great Britain. The growth in community children's nursing services in recent years looks like a great success story. Most community nursing teams are based in hospitals, although a sizeable minority are managed and/or based in community settings. These evaluations suggest that children can be safely managed at home with acute medical conditions thus reducing admissions and length of stay.
