- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the prognostic value of immunohistochemical expression of various markers including p16INK4A as well as other potential important biomarkers such as markers of tissue hypoxia. A review of clinicopathologic records of 73 patients with Whipple or radical resection of primary pancreatic adenocarcinoma accessioned at the Stanford University Hospital was conducted. The study concluded that an expression of p16INK4A was related with improved survival for patients with resected pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
