- Abstract
Fluorescence sensing of double‐stranded RNA can be achieved in a sequence‐selective manner by triplex‐forming PNA probes that carry a thiazole orange (TO) base surrogate, or tFIT probes. Optimization of the TO base surrogate linker significantly enhances the binding ability and selectivity for RNA double‐strands over RNA single‐strands whereas the TO base surrogate maintains its light‐up response. The improved tFIT probes have their potential use in the fields of chemistry and chemical biology. More information can be found in the Full Paper by S. Nishizawa, et al. on page 4079 ff.
