- Abstract
The article describes two cases of patients who were diagnosed with conjunctivitis without fever or respiratory symptoms due to highly pathogenic avian influenza A (H7N3) virus infection. Both patients were exposed to infected poultry. One of the patients, a 32-year-old poultry worker, experienced redness, swelling and tearing of her left eye. Information on efforts by Mexico to control poultry outbreaks in affected areas in Jalisco is provided.
