- Abstract
The article discusses the use of broadband solar occultation to retrieve atmospheric temperature and pressure T(P). It provides an overview of the solar occultation measurement technique and the mechanisms that make the measurement sensitive to temperature. It also discusses the effectiveness of Solar Occultation For Ice Experiment to measure polar mesospheric clouds, mesospheric trace gases and T(P).
