- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of computer-aided negotiation (CAN)and gaming-simulation techniques for resolving water resources disputes. The CAN sessions provide a forum to evaluate alternative solutions to these disputes using computers. The effective CAN design or game involves careful integration of computer modeling techniques with the existing water management decision-making. Also mentioned is the water accounting simulation model developed for Kansas and the Potomac rivers.
