- Abstract
The article discusses the racial differences related to use of hemoglobin A1c for diagnosis of diabetes depending on nonglycemic factors, in the U.S. It mentions the relationship of the disparities in terms of risk factors, glycemic control and socioeconomic status. It also states the impact of inclusion of fructosamine and glycated albumin on the hemoglobin specific phenomenon of racial difference.
