- Abstract
The level structure in neutron-rich Pd nucleus has been reinvestigated by measuring prompt rays emitted in the spontaneous fission of Cf. A two-phonon -vibrational band built on the 1639.3keV level is observed, which confirms the previous suggestion from a -decay experiment. Systematical comparison supports the assignment for a two-phonon -vibrational band in Pd. Triaxial projected shell model calculations for the multi-phonon bands of Pd are in good agreement with the experimental data.
