- Abstract
The article focuses on PathSeq, a software tool that can be used to identify nonhuman nucleic acids that may have associations with candidate microbes. It notes that the tool identifies the nonhuman nucleic acids by carrying out computational subtraction on high-throughput sequencing data. It adds that the PathSeq software package is offered for public use in the form of a machine image for cloud computing. It relates the processes taken in a study designed to determine the utility of the software which include the introduction of sequencing errors.
