In cases where symptoms are still there with an optimized diet, further investigations with continuous glucose monitoring including food and symptom diaries and test meals with low or high carbohydrate contents are carried out [[3]]. In conclusion, bariatric patients treated with RYGB, known to increase insulin sensitivity, show a lowered fasting p-K concentration which might limit the marginal to hypokalemia after induction of postprandial hyperinsulinemia and with symptoms not always distinguishible from those of hypoglycemia.
