The article offers a brief history of American Constitutional skepticism. Topics discussed include the ratification of the constitution, the role played by constitutional skepticism in the construction of history, and a brief history of constitutional skepticism before the Constitution. Other topics include constitutionalism, and English philosopher John Locke's version of social contract theory.
