- Abstract
The article discusses the Supreme court case oil field service provider Halliburton Co. v. Erica P. John (EPJ) Fund Inc., wherein EPJ Fund alleged Halliburton Co. of depressing its stock price. The Court considered if Halliburton could present a proof of lack of price impact at class certification stage. Halliburton overruled Basic presumption contending that markets do not reflect the information. Halliburton's argument was accepted asking for a proof that stock's market price were unaffected.
