- Abstract
The article discusses the legal implications of embryonic personhood on assisted reproductive technology (ART) as of 2014, focusing on international human rights law, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and in-vitro fertilization (IVF). The legal rights of same-sex couples and single people are addressed, along with right to privacy protections and the European Court of Human Rights. International bioethics, reproductive justice, and fertility preservation are examined.
