- Abstract
The article reports on China's rejection on the request of the U.S. and European Union (EU) regarding the release of democracy activist Liu Xiaobo. The U.S. and the E.U. requested Liu's dismissal as the December 14, 2009 trial took place for both areas are concerned on the harassment that Chinese authorities may exercise on Liu. Whereas, foreign ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu attests that the issue concerns on China's sovereignty, thus foreign forces are neglected.
