- Abstract
The article offers information on a study that distinguishes differences in the cost of drugs due to price alone from differences attributable to drug mix and treatment intensity for cancer patients. Topics include information on hospital outpatient departments (HOPDs) which charged more with differences ranging from 128 percent in nivolumab to 428 percent in fluorouracil; aim to estimate extra spending in HOPDs; and estimation of potential savings to third-party payers and patients.
