The article discusses the method used by English language arts teachers to help high school students analyze popular films that are adapted from young adult novels. It notes the importance of visual literacy and media literacy education in order for the student to understand how directors use film language to convey their message. It mentions the importance of classroom discussions to strengthen student's understanding of directors' purpose for revisiting young adult literature.
