- Abstract
The article presents the findings of a research conducted on examining the objectives of weight gain prevention program called the Shape Program, introduced among black women in the rural community health center setting. It discusses the methodology of the research. It concludes that the program uses an innovative intervention approach to reduce the risk of obesity and obesity-associated chronic diseases among black women.
