- Title
The Propers for the Feast of All Saints: A Commentary.
- Authors
Krasnicki, Ted
- Abstract
The author reflects on the chants selected by the Catholic Church for the Mass on the Feast of All Saints. He says that only the Alleluia and communion antiphon are the only music composed for this particular occasion as most of the chants were borrowed from feasts of martyrs. He explains that the Alleluia melody used for this occasion is very pleasant and solemn as it is intended to be sung for the Holy Trinity, the revelation of God in three persons. He cites that the communion antiphon for this occasion is taken from gospel that day.
