- Abstract
The article focuses on the various medical developments for the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS). It states that fingolimod has been approved as the very first oral medication for the treatment of MS, which reduces gadolinium-enhancing lesions and lowers relapse rates. The authors add that antibody therapies have also been developed for MS treatment including alemtuzumab, daclizumab and ocrelizumab.
