- Authors
Berry, Crista; Sarap, Michael; Childers, Jennifer
- Abstract
The article focuses on Crohn disease (CD), which is a chronic, idiopathic, and inflammatory condition which could affect the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. It states that the CD is a complex disease which depends on biopsies or imaging modalities for the confirmation of diagnosis. It mentions that the capsule endoscopy is a preferable alternative when other modalities failed or produced negative results in the presence of symptoms. However; the alternatives should be discussed with the patient.
