- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the effectiveness of rufinamide as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS). The study enrolled patients 4-30 years of age with inadequately controlled seizures who were taking 1-3 concomitant stable dose of antiepileptic drugs. It indicated that patients given rufinamide had a greater reduction in total seizure frequency and improvements in the seizure severity rating from the global evaluation.
