Abstract
The author comments on the issue of unjustified cosmetic dentistry. He relates that he has never yet encountered a dentist who endorsed treatment-plan fraud as an acceptable aspect of clinical practice. He asserts that the mere ability to do cosmetic miracles when such treatment is clinically and morally unjustifiable does not mean the techniques should be applied on unknowledgeable patients who have generous dental plans. He cites that the prevailing moral image of the dental profession seems sadly damaged.
