- Authors
Matton, Melissa
- Abstract
The article focuses on the role of dentists in smoking-cessation programs in Canada. The National Non-Smoking Week (NNSW) is being held every year for one week in January and is aimed at educating Canadians about the negative effect of smoking. It is noted that the Clinical Tobacco Intervention (CTI) Program of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA) could help dentists promote the messages of the NNSW campaign. It emphasizes that dentists have an extended knowledge of smoking/tobacco-cessation.
