- Title
On Writing "Sleepwalkers."
- Authors
Paul, Joginder
- Abstract
The author offers insights on writing his novel "Sleepwalkers." Fellow writer Muhammad Ali Siddiqui provided the ending of the novel for which the author had to work out the beginning. The author believes it is natural that an Indian survivor of the tragic events of history like himself should be able to reproduce the anguish of the migrant sensibility and experience told in the novel. The author asserts that it is not always the events but the emotional impact of events that accounts for literary authenticity.
