- Abstract
The article discusses the significance of multiple myeloma for serving as model to study other bone diseases and treatments. It says that the myeloma serves as good model for normal bone pathogenesis and enables researchers to assess new cancer targets and target therapies to improve bone formation and block resorption. It adds that the biphosphonates and proteasome inhibitors, used for myeloma treatment, also provides insights for use in prevention of degradation and treat other bone disease.
