- Abstract
The triangle is the basic unit of analysis within the theory of differentiation, allowing us to understand how relationships are built and transformed based on the three interconnected relationships; These produce a feeling of well-being and emotional stability in families and, in turn, can cause discomfort, such as anxiety. The aim of this paper is to describe how the triangle in relation to the level of differentiation produces anxiety in family relationships, for this we worked with two families under in-depth interviews; the data were analyzed under the grounded theory approach. It was found that anxiety has a mobilizing role within relationships, since when a certain behavior is done or stopped; The triangle is capable of being generated, maintained or modified.
