- Abstract
The article focuses on the new record of the rodent species Tapecomys primus in Jujuy, Argentina. It states that the external and cranial morphology of the rodent, which previously was only recorded in the Yungas forests of Argentina and Bolivia, corresponds with the diagnosis of Tapecomys primus. It mentions that the captured specimen, an adult male with abdominal testes, was prepared as skin and skill and presented in the Mammals Collection of the University of Tucumán in Tucumán, Argentina. Furthermore, information on the rodent's new locality, which is dominated by Myrtaceous trees including myrtle, guilli, and mato, is presented.
