- Abstract
White strains of Auricularia heimuer were isolated, purified, domesticated and cultivated. A white Auricularia heimuerstrain, JAUH-W-591 with stable heredity, was obtained by collection of spores and self-homozygous culture of selected ideal white strains. Based on morphological observation and molecular biological methods, the strain was classified and identified as a white variety of Auricularia heimuer. The optimum carbon source for white Auricularia heimuer was lactose, the optimum nitrogen source was yeast extract, the optimum culture temperature was 25~28 °C and the optimum pH was 6.5. The results showed that the average yield of the new variety JAUH-W-591 was 53.5 g DW per bag, which was 7.1% higher than that of the control. It had significant commercial advantages and cultivation value.
