A Reassessment of a Significant New England Artifact.
- Authors
Moody, William
- Abstract
The article discusses the possible typology of a significant New England artifact, a large and very thin, stemmed biface, discovered in a farm field in Bridgewater, Massachusetts some three decades ago. Topics include the large amounts of loose gravel, which confirms the evidence of the mining operation, description of the biface as an Atlantic implement blade in some journals, and observations of archaeologists Bob Trotta and Dena Dincauze regarding the blade.
