- Abstract
This article presents an analysis of the translation of the Hebrew word "from" in the context of the biblical writings on purification offerings and the "Dorian Gray" hypothesis of Jacob Milgrom discussed within volume 126 (2007) of the journal. The author outlines the methodological differences between his and Milgrom's ritual analysis and the descriptive language of sacrifice and purification.
