- Title
LITERARY STRUCTURE AND THEOLOGICAL ARGUMENT IN THREE DISCOURSES WITH JEWS IN THE FOURTH GOSPEL.
- Authors
Von Wahlde, Urban C.
- Abstract
The article calls attention to a structural feature found within selected Biblical verses in the Gospel of John to convey theological implications for the three exchanges between Jesus Christ and the Jews wherein believers are compared. Topics addressed include the thematic role of the exchanges within the theological argument of the discourses, the prerequisites of the Jews for belief in the claims of Jesus, and the parallelism found between each section.
