- Abstract
The article discusses a white paper on staggered holidays presented by the president of the Board of Trade to the British Parliament. It reveals that 30 million people took a main holiday as compared with 15 million in 1937. According to the paper, the pattern of holiday accommodation and travel has changed considerably. The effects of the holiday pattern on hotels, restaurants, car parks, entertainment establishments are addressed. Moreover, it also offers suggestions in order to encourage the staggering of holidays in the educational field and industrial sector.
