- Abstract
After the events of September 11, 2001, a whole generation of writers, scientists and philosophers directed their thinking and research to explain and define the new form of terrorism that has entered the world stage at the big door. Even more interesting for analysis is the rise of the Islamic State, which has used the Internet as its main tool to assert its power. It is power and its manipulation that link terrorism and biopolitics, which is why it was interesting for me to link these two terms to analyze what terrorism is basically and what the basis of biopolitics is. And how ISIS is a typical example of a new biopolitical power in the most extreme sense. So in this work, first the text analyses what is biopolitics, continuing with what terrorism is and finally linking these two concepts with ISIS and how all of this can be used as an explanation for the growing number of home-grown terrorists in the USA, but in Europe as well.
