- Abstract
The authors comment on schoolies week, or the week spent celebrating the completion of secondary school education in Australia, from a public health perspective. Topics discussed include health concerns surrounding schoolies weeks including the increase of binge drinking, unprotected sex and illicit drug use. Students' expectations for the week are discussed. Also mentioned are efforts by the government and community groups to encourage young people to participate in positive activities.
