The author discusses the difficulties and medical challenges faced by medically underserved population. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) offers 4 criteria to determine medically underserved population. Several ways by which health care systems bring physicians to such populations are discussed, including telemedicine and free cancer screenings to the public. He mentions that radiation therapists can get involved to help all people gain access to basic medical screening.
