- Abstract
The article is a review of Cecilia Gárgano's book that analyzes the modernization of the Argentine countryside, the role of INTA (National Institute of Agricultural Technology), agribusiness, and socio-environmental issues. The book seeks to repoliticize these processes and highlight resistances and alternatives to hegemonic models. It analyzes the history of Argentine agriculture from the Green Revolution to agribusiness, focusing on the impacts of genetically modified crops and the expansion of the agricultural frontier. It also examines tensions and interests at play in the Latin American context from a decolonial perspective.
