- Abstract
The article presents a representation of the teaching style of an English as a Second Language (ESL) developmental writing instructor Roberta Ware. It discusses the theoretical and empirical perspectives wherein her teaching method was based including the so-called Generation 1.5 in postsecondary writing classrooms, sociocultural conceptualizations of the personal knowledge of teachers, and the post-Vygotskian theory. Also mentioned is a study on ESL learning support at Sweet Water College.
