Title
Haunted by History.
Abstract
A literary criticism of the "Philadelphia Fire" book by John Edgar Wideman is presented. It mentions that the distance Wideman places between history and fiction widens and narrows throughout the book. It also mentions that Wideman bends time and place, memory and imagination in ways that leave the reader unsettled and disoriented.
