- Abstract
Identity is one of the key concepts in social sciences about how individuals and societies define themselves psychologically and sociologically. Individuals and societies around this concept reveal similarities and differences. Religion, culture, history, economics, ethnicity, etc... are formed by the combination of various factors, especially the identity of the political and social area constitutes. Intellectuals also play an important role on the basis of this belonging which various dynamic elements form. The distinguished intellectual groups / groups that constitute a society play an important role in the formation of identity in various ways and in the reproduction of identities in organizations. Organizations also function in the processes of shaping their identity and transferring them to future generations. The concept of organization is one of the various tools used to solve the problems encountered in certain situations within each society and to meet their needs. Organizations that maintain their activities in a specific society constitute common goals, plans and policies, with members' own beliefs, value judgments, attitudes towards various events. The concept of organization and the place of organization will be studied around the concept of identity in working. For this purpose first the concept of identity and the concept of organization will be examined. Once these concepts are addressed, it will be analyzed how the organization shapes the concept of identity. The study will be analyzed by descriptive / conceptual method and interpreted analytically. It will be based on the argument that the organization has an important place in the formation and development of the concept of identity in work.
