- Title
An autoimmune subepidermal blistering skin disease in a dog? The odds are that it is not bullous pemphigoid.
- Authors
Olivry, Thierry
- Abstract
The author reflects on the results of the research on the bullous pemphigoid (BP) in dogs which was conducted 20 years ago. The author states that researchers still cannot offer arrays of immunoserological tests to allow laboratory diagnosis of canine BP, mucous membrane pemphigoid (MMP), and epidermolysis bullosa acquisita (EBA). The author mentions that the diagnosis of diseases should not be made from a blood test result.
