- Abstract
The alignment between personal and institutional values affects the construction and maintenance of healthy organizational cultures. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between institutional values in the philosophy of management at the University of Zulia adopted by the East Lake Coast Nucleus (C.O.L.) and the ethical values that educational directors practice, and to verify the correspondence between them. This was a descriptive, documentary field study. The population consisted of educational directors. A questionnaire of 36 items was applied, validated by expert judgment; reliability was measured using the Alpha Cronbach coefficient, whose value was 0.86. Conclusions were that the values most practiced by the educational directors are loyalty, success, health, happiness, excellence, solidarity, work and peace; a 56.25% congruence exists between the institutional and ethical values.
