- Abstract
The article reports on the deadly Moroccan police raid deplored by the United Nations (UN) Security Council on a squatter camp in Western Sahara in 2010. The Polisario Front, the main Western Sahara rebel group, cautioned it could withdraw from peace talks with Morocco due to the raid. Morocco initially stated that 12 people, which include 10 police officers of Morocco, died in the raid with protesters at the Gdemi Izik camp.
